Seafood chimichangas are the best! Salsa and fresh guac are great as well! Service is always quick and friendly! Great for families as well! Can't wait to come back!

Great local Mexican-American type of food. Family friendly environment with small bar in the back. I usually sit in the bar seating just because its a little quieter. Went on a Friday night, had 15 minute wait and only seating available was in the "kid" zone. And of course, someone had a birthday so the entire staff had to come out an sing happy birthday :( However, the food is good, fresh guacamole is good....I recommend and frequent often!

Wonderful experience. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. My daughter and I went for lunch and we were treated like we were the only ones. Every request was met and exceeded which is important when dining with a toddler.

My waiter Joe Angle suggested a "burrito portillo" that wasn't even on the menu and it was amazing! It had steak, chorizo, beans, rice, cheese and smothered in an delicious sauce. He also suggested the guacamole that was made at our table which pushed our experience over the top. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and check them out! For a truly memorable experience ask for Joe Angle, he has us laughing the entire time

Hands down, one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. Food has lots of flavor and prices are reasonable. I've had my fare share of mediocre Mexican food, and this place is far better. The fajitas, tacos, salads are all good.

My parents have eaten here quite a few times, and they only have good things to say about it. I've only eaten here once, and it was very good! I got fish tacos, and they were quite tasty. I should've gotten them with flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas, because it turns out corn tortillas are gross, no matter where you get them from. But the rest of my lunch was quite good. The portions are decent and the servers are friendly and attentive.

The best Mexican restaurant in town! I always get their chimichanga and it is perfect! My wife loves their nachos and fajitas! Their table side guacamole is phenomenal! I highly recommend going here if you're in the mood for truly great Mexican.

I guess I was there on an off night (Saturday) because I didn't care for the food (taco salad was horrible, was like soup under the small layer of lettuce), service, atmosphere (was loud). I will say the guacamole was descent and my beer was cold. Sorry to all the customers who thinks it's the best in Fort Wayne, I think just about any other Mexican Restaurant in FTW is better. To each his own I guess

We went here last night and were pleasantly surprised. We have lived near this restaurant for a while and just never tried it. I saw all the wonderful reviews and had to find out myself. Everything is true! I got the burrito fajita. Grilled chicken and onions inside a tortilla topped with white queso with beans rice lettuce and sour cream on the side. I will get it again. Our food got to our table not even 10 minutes after we ordered it. We don't like guac, but from what I can tell, it's the real deal there. They make it right at your table. Drinks were always full. Very clean restaurant. Friendly staff. So glad we tried it and found another delicious place to go!

The best Mexican food in town. They make guacamole in front of you and the foods is served fast and hot. My husband and I love this place and highly recommend it. There have been a few times we've had to wait for a table bit never longer than 15 minutes. The wait staff is friendly and kept right on our drinks. Love it here.

Best damn Mexican food in Fort Wayne. Service is always good and the food comes out super fast. We have never had a bad meal or experience.

Marinaded chicken is the best. I was actually pretty surprised that you could get a good Mex meal in the Fort. (consider I live 2 hours north of the border for the last decade) They have specials and good hours so that you can stop in most of the time and get food right away!

Though we live right around the corner, we had never tried Casa Grande until a friend of mine recently posted a picture of the guacamole they made at his table. I have to say the absolute best part of this experience was our waitress. She was The Perfect Waitress. My husband has fried his tongue and loves HOT food and asked if they had a hotter salsa for the chips they serve when you're seated. She said yes and took our orders and disappeared. At first we were wondering where on earth she went - until she came back with a bowl of this bright green mixture. She said they just MADE it for us! He tried it and it was warm from cooking - then HOT for his demanding taste buds! He raved over this custom habanero salsa the entire meal! My enchiladas were great and he had no complaints with his meal - and our waitress kept our drinks filled. There was no awkward lingering and she anticipated all of our needs and was a great communicator. I ordered the churros for dessert (only $3.50!) and they were DELICIOUS. We received four fresh churros, drizzled in caramel, with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, and a cherry! They REALLY hit the spot (and, I have a feeling, will be a new craving)! The atmosphere was great yet the booths were still cozy and everyone was very respectful. Another hidden gem!!

The food is not very authentic. Yes the guacamole is great, but if you are used to real Mexican food, don't bother.

Just visited Casa Grande with the family again last night. As usual, the wait was well worth it! We tried the made-at-your-table guacamole. Outstanding! It doesn't get any fresher than this, plus custom "heat" with fresh jalapeños and salsa add a great kick. My wife and daughter split the "Alhambra" dish, a flat tortilla loaded with traditional Casa goodies plus bacon add a surprisingly good twist. My fork wandered again to this proven favorite dish over my healthier chicken taco salad. Casa's got what it takes to be among the best Mexican in the Fort!

ALMOST 5 STAR!! This place is clearly tied for first for " Best Mexican Restaurant" in Fort Wayne; Clean, friendly, delicious. All of the decor and music that you'd expect (or have come to love) in a Mexican restaurant. We love ordering the guacamole cart: this dude rolls over and prepares guac for you by starting with cutting the avocado open. Can't get any fresher than that! He will then ask how you like it (we prefer lots of cilantro) so that it's tailored just for you. Food has been spot-on each and every time we visit. If they keep it up, they'll earn another star for sure.

Absolutely love this place. It is truly one of the best true Mexican establishments in town. They just added a Chipotle burrito to the menu that is to die for. I'm not a guacamole person, but my wife swears by it as it is made from scratch at the table. Margaritas are killer as well.

Delicious chips and fresh made - right in front of you-all guacamole. Jumbo peach maragrita goes great with chimichangas.

It's not fancy. Nothing to think it will be a different experience when you walk through the front door. It looks like nearly every other Mexican restaurant in Fort Wayne. But then we order. Each dish we have eaten here has been terrific. Have been enjoying the food here since it first opened, especially the chorizo dishes. Cannot recommend strongly enough if you are looking for Mexican.

I've been here a few times and have been thoroughly impressed each time. I highly recommend the chorizo dishes (yes, all of them) and the table-side prepared guacamole. The gigantic bowl of guacamole was the best I've ever had... full of fresh cilantro, beautiful avocados and tons of onions. The service is great, food arrives quickly and there always seems to be an abundance of drink specials. I got $1 drafts with my meal the last time I went. It's definitely in the running for my favorite Mexican restaurant in town... Check it out!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
